The wildest exhibition around

The Wildlife Photographer of the Year Exhibition is back at Moors Valley Country Park near Verwood from 31 January to 8 March 2009.

These stunning photographs will be available to view in the Visitor Centre between 9am and 4.30pm daily.

Hampshire teenager, Catriona Parfitt, walked away triumphant with her picture, ‘A lion attempting to attack a giraffe in front of an audience of gemsbok antelope’, which was taken near a waterhole in Damaraland, Namibia. This wowed the judges.

“We are honoured to be able to host such a prestigious and beautiful exhibition,” said Katie Birks, Countryside Interpretation Ranger at Moors Valley Country Park and Forest.

“The exhibition will show people of all ages the beauty and drama of nature that can be captured by the camera.

”Hopefully, it will also inspire them to exercise their own photographic skills by trying to capture pictures of wildlife here at Moors Valley.”
