The Verwood in Bloom Competition 2011 organised by Verwood Town Council, took place on 4 July 2011. Judged by Emma Green, Group Plant Area Co-ordinator from Golden Acres Nurseries Ltd and Councillors Alec and Lesley Nicholls, the winners are as follows:
Best Front Garden: Mr & Mrs C Green, Best Use of Container/Hanging Baskets: Mr D Palmer, Best Small Business Frontage & Use of Containers/Hanging Baskets: Studio Rouge, Best Large Business Frontage & Use of Containers/Hanging Baskets: Thatch Cottage Guest House, Best Novel Planter/Planters – Schools Section: Trinity First School, Best Garden Achievement – Schools Section: Verwood CE First School.
Golden Acres Nurseries have donated garden vouchers as prizes which will be presented to winner by the mayor, Cllr Mrs Toni Coombs at the Verwood & District Horticultural Society's autumn show, Verwood Memorial Hall on Saturday, 17 September. Winners will also hold their trophy for a year.
