Verwood’s extension is open

The new extension to the Verwood Town Council’s help centre was officially opened on Monday, 14 September by Mr William Wells.

Mr Wells was a Verwood councillor for over fifty years, standing down in 1993.  Since then he has been the mayor’s advisor.

Also attending the ceremony were Cllr Mrs Pauline Reynolds, chairman of East Dorset District Council and Mr John Wilson, chairman of Dorset County Council.

The help centre was originally opened in 1996.

The extension was constructed local building and development company Rainford Builders.
