Veteran radio presenters, Colin Fearnhead and Ros Ray, are celebrating 30 years of broadcasting their weekly radio programme ‘Keep it Country.’
The duo started their programme on 15 September 1980 when 2CR first came on the air in Bournemouth. Since then they have continued to share their love of country music on a number of radio stations around Dorset, including Forest FM where they have been for the past four years.
Their show is broadcast every Sunday at 3pm, and is still going strong, with listeners tuning in locally, and all over the world on the internet. They have worked with many country legends, including Johnny Cash, who recorded a special jingle for them.
Station manager at Forest FM, Steve Saville, said, “They are a lovely pair and I absolutely love their radio programme. Long may they continue!”
