Wimborne shines

The Small Town category of the regional 'In Bloom' results were announced at Priestfield Stadium, Gillingham, Kent on Friday, 10 September.

Dorset came up smelling of roses with the High Silver Gilt being awarded to Wimborne Minster.  The judges' report stated that, 'The Wimborne in Bloom group is a well organised, large group of dedicated volunteers who have an all the year round programme of events and are heavily involved in the Wimborne community. Wimborne was very clean and tidy and had good floral displays within the town.'
