Wimborne Swimathon raises thousands

“The 2009 Wimborne Rotary Swimathon has once more been a huge success,” said president Alan Cosgrove.

Despite the recession, the grand total of the sponsorship money collected by 200 swimmers, including Gift Aid, came to £13,160.

This money was distributed to Life Education Wessex £3,473, Pramacare £3,665, Naomi House £3,334 and £2,687 to eighteen other charities.

The next Swimathon will be held on Saturday, 30 October at the new Canford School Sports Centre facility.
