Police in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses and information after a man was stabbed in Boscombe on Monday, 20 July.
The incident took place outside McDonald’s restaurant in Boscombe Precinct at around 5.40pm.
The 43-year-old male victim from Bournemouth was chased into The Yeahman Restaurant and repeatedly stabbed by another man, who officers believe is known to the victim.
The victim was taken to Royal Bournemouth Hospital with superficial injuries to the back and face and was later released.
The offender fled the scene on a BMX bike and is described as black, six foot five inches tall, well-built, and is well known to frequent the Boscombe area.
Detective Constable James Taylor, of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said: “I am still trying to find out exactly what happened and why, and I need the public to help.
“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident and who may have any information as to the whereabouts of the man we suspect was involved.
“We also want information from members of the public who may have seen an argument between a group of men, all of whom were black, prior to the incident.
“We are also looking for the BMX bike which was used by the offender to ride away from the scene.
“All information will be treated in total confidence.”
