After months of fund raising and planning, the judging of Wimborne in Bloom has taken place.
In the run up to the judging, over eighty ‘Wombles’ as they are known, turned out to litter pick the town. Over sixty bags of rubbish were collected including a large quantity from the river.
The town was then judged in the Regional South and South East in Bloom competition in the small town category. The judges visited several locations including St John’s School, the new Waitrose Park, the model town and Redcotts Recreation Ground.
The local Wimborne in Bloom competition was also held, with 129 entries over 17 categories. The results will be announced next week.
