Best of British sure raised funds!

The Best of British Party organised by Joe and Mel Barnett and Lucy and Gary Wooding raised £2297 for the John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation.
It followed on from last year’s success and was held at Parkstone Yacht Club. Almost every aspect of Britishness was represented and fabulous costumes got the party off to a great start.

Advent candelight service

Over 300 people attended the evening Advent candlelight service held in Wimborne Minster on Advent Sunday 30 November. The singing was led by the Minster Choir conducted by the Director of Music Mr David Gostick, with organist Sean Tucker. County councillors agree new leadership

Members of Dorset County Council have elected Cllr Robert Gould as their new leader today (3 December).


A special full council meeting was called to vote on this issue after it became clear Cllr Spencer Flower was unable to continue with his leadership duties following police charges under the Localism Act 2011.
