A Bournemouth dealer has been prosecuted for selling unsafe mattresses which did not meet fire safety standards. Patrick Furlong (41) of Portchester Road, Bournemouth was found guilty by Bournemouth magistrates’ court of supplying two mattresses and possessing 213 mattresses for sale which did not meet the requirements of the British Standard for fire safety.
