The second round of contestants for the Voice of Ferndown performed at the Nightjar on 14 August. Samantha Stevens, Linda Sambrook and Camilla Tabor sang like true stars. Each brought a different quality to the evening and luckily the few glitches with the sound equipment didn’t phase them.
Hi I’m Susie and when I came into Waggy Tails Rescue, I was pregnant and gave birth to two healthy puppies, Lenny and Summer. They are now with their new families and I would love to have a new family of my own. I’m a good girl in the house and soon settle in a car. I need about two hours exercise a day and am good on a short lead. Everyone says I am a loving, friendly and responsive little girl, but I need lots more training to fit in with a family, preferably with no small children or other pets.

The Oak Academy – LeAF Campus in Bournemouth is celebrating a 100 per cent A-level pass rate.
A total of 103 students took the exam with the academy achieving the highest number of A*-B grades to date.
A new dirt jump project has now been opened for BMX bikers at Ford Lane Recreation Ground, Ferndown. This new development sees tracks suitable for all ages and abilities. Ferndown Town Council, working in partnership with East Dorset District Council’s Countryside Management Service, have implemented the project and have continued to enlist the help of the community to help design and develop the area for optimum results.
Queen Elizabeth’s School Sixth Form students have achieved a set of excellent results once again this year. The overall pass rate was 98%, with a record 43% of these grades being at A*/B and 70% at A*-C.
