By donating just £10 to Bournemouth Hospital Charity, donors can help ensure that every patient staying at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital on Christmas Day will receive a gift as part of the ‘presents for patients’ scheme.
The charity is hoping to raise £4,000 to guarantee that all patients, young and old, will get a Christmas gift presented to them from hospital staff.
“We expect to have over 500 patients staying in the hospital over this Christmas season,” says Debbie Anderson, Bournemouth Hospital Charity’s head of fundraising. “Many of these patients will be unable to enjoy sharing time with family or friends and will spend Christmas Day without a single visitor.
“We believe every patient who has to stay in hospital deserves to share in the joy of this time of year and by donating just £10, people can make sure that no one is left out this Christmas.”
Anyone who would like to contribute can donate in person at the charity office by the front entrance of the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, or donate online at BHCharity.org.
