Several members of Wimborne and Ferndown Lions Club were treated to a tour of the Streetwise safety centre in Elliott Road. They presented Diana Newbury with a cheque for £200 to support the centre’s efforts in education of safety matters in the home and on the road. The centre has a mock up ‘village’ with street and houses with all sorts of hazards on display, ranging from saucepan handles sticking out in the kitchen to cyclists without helmets.
