Maggie Roberts, from Poole, was the lucky winner of Diverse Abilities Plus ‘Waitrose Trolley Dash’ raffle in Wimborne and got three minutes to run around the store picking up as many items as possible.

Maggie nominated her friend Julie Britton to take part in the trolley dash for her and she ran wild for Maggie up the aisles filling her trolley  with goods including a leg of lamb, toilet rolls, a gigantic bag of rice  totalling £223.00.

Raffle tickets for this event started selling at the Wimborne Food Festival in October 2012. raising just over £1,300, which will support children and adults with profound learning and physical disabilities in Dorset.

Beccy Payne, Corporate and Community Fundraiser, said: “We are extremely grateful to Waitrose in Wimborne for giving us this opportunity. It was a great way to fundraise for us so we can continue to run the charity’s vital services. It was also great fun watching Julie run around Waitrose collecting as many items as possible.”
