The Stewarts Garden Centre in Christchurch gained Garden Centre Association’s award was judged as 7th in the UK out of 100 of the top garden centres. Stewarts’ General Manager Paul Hilliam and his team accepted the plaque at the recent presentation ceremony held at the Luton Hoo Golf and Spa. The Centre was the only one in Dorset and Hampshire to fall within the top 10 ten following an inspection by GCA judges.
Terry Head, Retail and Marketing Director at Stewarts congratulated the Christchurch team: “The award recognises the professionalism and hard work maintained by the 80 full and part time staff employed at the centre as they are based on thorough audits conducted by GCA appointed inspectors. But the real judges that make all the difference is those people who are part of our loyal customer base. Seven is considered a lucky number, we are very fortunate to be able to thank our thousands of customers by providing high standards and a great choice of plants and sundry products.”
Anyone wishing to see the number one centre would need to visit another family owned centre called Bents near Manchester.
