Palliative Care community nurse Josie Armstrong is now able to visit patients living on the Isle of Purbeck without incurring ferry costs, thanks to the generosity of The Sandbanks Ferry Company.
Health and safety measures will be in place when the Sandbanks Ferry returns to service on Wednesday 17 June following the completion of annual maintenance and refit works and in anticipation of an increase in passenger numbers.
The Sandbanks chain ferry is scheduled to resume service on Wednesday 17 June. The planned commencement will be at 7am from Sandbanks, with three crossings per hour in each direction as usual until 11.10pm from Studland.
Sandbanks Ferry service has been delayed until at least the beginning of June due to unexpected repair work that needs to be carried out.
The Sandbanks Ferry Company, which runs the chain ferry service between Studland and Poole, has announced that it will be withdrawing the service from Tuesday 21 April until further notice.
